TURNING POINT COLLECTION
Please see list following for Turning Point. “Turning Point is a domestic violence agency with a mission to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County, Illinois. http://www.turnpt.org/.”
The following is a list of items which Turning Point
needs continually to serve their clients.
There is a container on the first floor of the City of McHenry Municipal
Center, 333 S Green Street, so people can drop-off items here.
Stephanie Erb, who is Assistant Accreditation
Manager and Training Coordinator for the City of McHenry Police Department, is
a state trained domestic violence advocate at Turning Point and a volunteer at
Turning Point. They have two pantries so please pass the word.
Stephanie is able to take items donated each week. Additionally, if a business collects items, I
would be more than happy to come by and pick up the items and ensure they are
brought to Turning Point. Thank you!
SPECIAL OLYMPICS WINDY CITY RUBBER DUCKY DERBY
The City of McHenry Police Department is
a huge supporter of Special Olympics. Continuing its 2017 adventure in trying
new events to support Special Olympics Illinois they have formed a team for the
Windy City Rubber Ducky Derby www.chicagoduckrace.com.
The event takes place on August 3,
2017 in Chicago. Thousands of spectators will watch 50,000 yellow
rubber ducks splash into the Chicago River from the Columbus Drive Bridge in
downtown Chicago and race down river towards the finish line. There
are many fabulous prizes for the winning duck owner, including a 2017 Chevy
Equinox. The purpose of this event is to raise
funds to allow over 22,000 athletes and over 20,000 Young Athletes to compete
in Special Olympics sporting events.
If you are interested helping us with
this cause, the easiest way is to adopt a duck online for $5. You
can also join their fundraising team. Click this link: http://tinyurl.com/McHenryPoliceDept-Duck17.
MCHENRY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT “PARTNERS OF INDUSTRY”
We are extremely lucky District 156 and our
elementary District 15 are out in front of our dynamic economy and
technological challenges and doing everything possible to equip our students
and parents with the resources required to be successful. Your business/organization is also an
integral part of this equation.
SAFETY TOWN SUCCESS
I want to thank the businesses who assisted the City
in constructing our initial phase of Safety Town. Please click on
attached link: https://mchenrymarketpulse.blogspot.com/search?q=safety+town and see

in the future as well.
Amazing! Following is the article
