McHenry’s “Keep the Spirit of 45 Alive” event, over the past several years has gained national recognition for our City and Combined Veterans Organizations in large part due to local businessman Ron Bykowski.  He initiated the event and attended the “Keep the Spirit of 45 Alive" (#Spiritof45) National Conference in San Diego at the Air & Space Museum.  This is just one example of Ron’s dedication to our City as his list of community contributions is quite extensive.

MAP OF DOWNTOWN MCHENRY BUSINESSES AND MCHENRY EVENTS BROCHURES COMPLETED

I mentioned in a past post that the City of McHenry, McHenry Downtown Business Association, McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of McHenry, Rotary Club of McHenry Sunrise Club, Visit McHenry County, Green Street Cruise Night and Golden Age Cinemas collaborated on a joint marketing effort.
A large part of this was the creation and printing of brochures highlighting events which will occur throughout the City in 2107 and a map of the downtown area and businesses.
Below are the pages of the brochures.  Hard copies are available at the Municipal Center, McHenry Area Chamber and Downtown Business Association.  You can always contact me and I would be happy to provide them to you as well.

METRA SURVEY
Metra is conducting an online survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MetraFareStudy.  The purpose of the survey is to seek customers’ feedback about potential fare and ticket options.  Metra provides a valuable service, in the form of transportation, and I encourage you to take the survey.  I did it and it takes about 5-10 minutes however it will provide Metra guidance about how they may want to tweak off-peak and reverse-commute pricing, different types of passes, Ventra Card as well as loyalty programs, #Metra.
