DUNKIN DONUTS PRESENTS $400 CHECK TO DAMIANO FAMILY
Many of you know about
the terrible tragedy, which occurred on April 21 of this year in Lakemoor. The Damiano family lost everything in a fire. Today Dunkin Donuts presented the Damiano
family with a check for $400 as part of a fundraising effort held at the Dunkin
Donuts located at 4502 W ELM. Thank you
Dunkin Donuts for assisting the Damiano family in their time of need!

PIONEER CENTER SLEEP OUT FOR SHELTER
On Saturday May 6th,
Pioneer Center held their annual Sleep out for Shelter event at the
Church of Holy Apostles. This is a
wonderful event, which raises awareness about homelessness in our
community. Mayor Wayne Jett attended
along with many volunteers and supporters to help raise money and advocate for
those less fortunate. To learn more

RIBBON CUTTING AT JH EVENTS AND FLOWERS
On May 10th the McHenry Area Chamber of
Commerce held a ribbon cutting at JH Flowers and Events located at 3603
Municipal Drive. This is an established
family business and now has a new home directly south of the Municipal Center,

OPEN HOUSE FOR SMITH’S CENTRAL GARAGE
On May 11th, Smith’s
Central Garage opened its doors to show off their newly constructed event space

downtown!

ALEXANDER LEIGH CENTER FOR AUTISM
The Alexander Leigh
Center for Autism is relocating to the City of McHenry having purchased the
previously vacant building at 4100 Veterans Parkway. This a great organization which provides many
wonderful services to those in need. I
learned about the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism when I visited them at
their previous location in a community south of the City of McHenry. Thank you Alexander Leigh Center for Autism
for making the City of McHenry your new home.
