MCHENRY
AREA JAYCEES EASTER EGG HUNT
This
weekend, April 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. the McHenry Area Jaycees will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt at
Petersen Park, 4300 Petersen Park Road.
The event is free and registration commences at 11:00 a.m. The hunts are broken down by age with the
youngest at 12:00 p.m., ages four to seven at 12:20 p.m. and ages eight through
twelve at 12:40 p.m. More information

Jaycees partners with the City in the annual Jaycees Day Fireworks Display.
On April 27 a Resource and Employment Fair
will be held at the McHenry VFW, 3002 W Illinois Route 120 between 9:00 a.m.
and 4:30 p.m. Many
local, state and federal agencies will be present to assist Veterans and
service members with issues and questions about education, finance, Veterans
Affairs benefits as well as healthcare.
Attendees
are highly encouraged to bring résumés and will be able to receive Veterans
Affairs disability claims screenings. A free
lunch for Veterans will also be provided. The
Resource Fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Following the Resource Fair an Employment Fair
will occur from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and employers seeking to hire Veterans
will be present.
Between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. the
employment event will be exclusively for Veterans and service members. Following it will be open to the public from
2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

City continues to add new businesses. Dominos Pizza recently completed renovations
and opened at 2208 N Richmond Road; Midwest
Homes relocated from west Elm Street to 1309 Park Street; Center for Therapeutic Services and Psycho-Diagnostics
opened for business at 4209 Shamrock Lane as did Reveal Skin Care at 1213 N Riverside Drive (Unit 1A).

COMING SOON: ADDISON’S STEAKHOUSE
Below is a sneak peek inside Addison’s
Steakhouse, located at 325 Front
Street in the Fountain Shoppes of McHenry Retail Center. Opening
date is anticipated end of April/beginning of May 2017. As you can see, considerable time, effort and
expense has been put into this restaurant which will also feature outdoor
dining around the fountain.
