The City of McHenry Landmark Commission & the McHenry County Farm Bureau present the Ninth Annual “A Day at Petersen Farm” this Sunday June 26th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The event is FREE and held at Historic Petersen Farm, 4112 McCullom Lake Road, McHenry, IL 60050-approximately one mile west of Richmond Road (Illinois Route 31).

sewing, wood crafts, etc.
- Open house in the Civil War-era Petersen
farm house & 1920s dairy barn
- McHenry Garden Club display including an authentic
‘1917 Victory Garden’
- McHenry Public Library
& McHenry
County Health Dept. with games/displays
- Culver’s & McHenry Lion’s Club
will sell lunches & ice cream treats
- Free admission & free parking
The event is FREE and a great family-oriented
day filled with numerous activities and
food (Culvers and McHenry Lions Club will sell food and ice cream).
Cowleen will also be in
attendance for the kids to learn how to milk a cow. Additionally, this year a 100-year old steam
tractor will be on display and is being sponsored by Big R, located at 1860 N
Richmond Road. Thank you to Big R for

Plenty of FREE parking is
available on the south side of McCullom Lake Road in Petersen
Park. This is a great family-oriented
event; a lot of hard work and planning goes into making this a wonderful day
and it’s FREE! Historic Petersen Farm is
one of the many gems the City of McHenry has to offer and “A Day at Petersen
Farm” provides an opportunity to showcase this wonderful piece of our City’s history!
